What is your shipping policy?

Voyagers K9 Apparel makes, packs and ships our products from our facility in Tacoma, WA. We aim to fulfill and ship your order as quickly as possible. We provide the following shipping and delivery estimates to help you plan your purchase, but we are unable to guarantee delivery dates.

For in-stock items ordered during the business week (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays) you can expect to receive shipping confirmation within 5–7 business days.

Made to Measure custom dog coats, premium color coats, and coats that require a harness opening may take from 3 to 10 business days to ship. Promotional events and seasonal sales affect processing times.

It is our policy to charge the full amount for an order when the order is placed. This is to cover the cost of materials and labor involved in producing your order by hand. If you or your credit card merchant requires alternative terms, please contact us at sales@k9apparel.com prior to placing your order.

USPS Ground Advantage service is provided FREE for all domestic orders $100 or more.
Shipping costs are based on delivery destination and calculated at checkout
Delivery estimates are based on business days and start when package is received by the carrier
Tracking is provided by the carrier at no cost and you’ll automatically get an email with tracking information once your order is fulfilled.
For international destinations, DHL and UPS carrier services are DDP and pay duty fees and local taxes.
All orders are shipped complete. If you receive only part of your order, please contact us within 24 hours.

What is your return policy?

We know the importance of a great fit for your pup, and you should feel confident in your purchase of any of our Voyagers K9 Apparel products. Even if you’ve ordered your coat with a custom harness opening, rest assured that the addition of the harness opening will not be a barrier to initiating a return or exchange.

Customers who purchase our Worry-Free Return & Exchange coverage for $1.98 will receive unlimited complimentary return shipping. This coverage is available for purchase from the “View Cart” screen.

Customers who do not purchase our Worry-Free Return & Exchange coverage will still be able to initiate a return or exchange, but will be responsible for paying for their own return shipping labels via the return/exchange portal.

All return and exchange orders are subject to the following terms:

  1. Returns and exchanges initiated within 14 days of delivery are eligible for a 100% refund of the original purchase price.

  2. Returns and exchanges initiated 15-30 days after delivery are eligible for store credit.

  3. Returns and exchanges initiated more than 30 days after delivery are eligible for our ReCoat program.

We offer returns and exchanges on clean, fur-free, unwashed products. Dogs shed (some more than others!) so we ask that you simply try the coat on your pup and if it doesn’t fit, take it off right away and initiate your return or exchange request.

Items must be received in our shop before credit or refunds will be issued. All refunds and credits are issued at the discretion of Voyagers K9 Apparel. Items with fur, blemishes, damage, or other obvious signs of wear may receive a partial refund or credit.

Do you make customizations or alterations?

We have been specializing in performance outdoor apparel for your dog for almost 30 years. Everything about our shop is set up for the specific characteristics of the fabric and materials that we have chosen for their quality, durability and comfort for your pup. This includes everything from the depth of the stitching needle, to the weight of the thread. Due to the specificity of our machinery and our processes, we only accept fabric and materials that we have purchased directly from one of our vendors.

We offer the service of adding a harness opening to any of our coats for a service fee of $20 per coat. If you’ve recently purchased a Voyagers coat but did not request a harness opening, you may send the coat to us and we will add a harness opening for a $20 service fee. If you’re a Made to Measure customer, no additional fee is charged for adding a harness opening. What is your warranty?

Voyagers K9 Apparel products are hand-made in the USA with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship and we guarantee our products for their reasonable lifetime. The reasonable lifetime of an outdoor product is not indefinite, and is affected by the conditions in which it is used. Materials will fade, thin, and wear over time, and the reasonable lifespan of an item will be determined at our discretion.

What's not covered:
Damage from chewing, snags, tears, or naturally occurring wear.
Deterioration (including loss of water resistant properties) from laundering. Please email sales@k9apparel.com for information about renewing your coat’s water resistant properties.
Unwashed items will be returned. Please follow cleaning and care instructions prior to sending your item in for repair.
Damage to the item from cutting the package open.

To file a warranty claim, contact us by email at sales@k9apparel.com. Please include as much information as you are able, including your order number, the item in question, a description of the issue, and any photos that show the problem. If your claim is approved your product will be replaced with the same SKU, which may be a more recent version. If your product has been discontinued, you will receive store credit for the original purchase price. We are unable to provide refunds to the original form of payment.

Do you offer harness openings?

All of our raincoats and winter coats come with an opening in the back of the neck where a leash attaches to a standard collar. We can add a harness opening to your raincoat or winter coat for an additional charge.

To determine the location of your harness opening, put your dog’s harness on and measure from the withers (center of between shoulder blades) to the center of the D-ring where the leash attaches. The product page for the winter coat or raincoat you are purchasing will have a dropdown list of options for the location of the harness opening. Choose the option equal to or slightly less than the measurement. Choosing the smaller measurement will prevent the coat from bunching or shifting while in use.

How do I measure my dog?

For our breed-specific dog clothing, you'll need to include some basic measurements when you place your order. Protecting your pup with quality and comfort is not just a slogan at Voyagers K9 Apparel. This is our mission. In order for you to choose the dog coat size that best suits your dog, we ask you to provide some basic measurements. These measurements ensure that you choose the correct size for your dog. To get accurate measurements for your dog’s neck, chest and length, you’ll need a soft fabric or tailor’s tape. Your dog needs to be in a neutral standing position. A dab of peanut butter on a wall or glass door can help distract your pup while you take these measurements. For all measurements, the tape should be snug but not tight. For dogs with fluffy coats, the fur can be gently compressed similar to how your dog wears a collar.

For an accurate neck measurement, measure the circumference of the widest part of your dog’s neck between their collar and shoulders.
For an accurate chest measurement, measure the circumference of the widest part of the chest, typically a couple of inches behind the front legs. Your dog should be standing for this measurement.
For an accurate measurement of your dog’s length, measure from the withers (the center of between the shoulder blades) to the tailset, which is where the tail connects to the spine.

If you've taken accurate measurements and used the size chart on the product page for your specific breed, we are confident that your new coat or tummy warmer will keep your pup warm and cozy for many seasons to come.

We strive to maintain our stock levels in line with demand. However, from time to time we may become out of stock of a certain product. If one of our products is out of stock, please signup for notifications on that product page and you will be notified when it is back in stock.

How do I order a custom Made to Measure

For US-based customers:
1. Order your Made-to-Measure kit. The price of the kit will be deducted from your final order.

2. Follow the instructions in your kit to measure and submit your dog’s characteristics, as well as the specific products and colors that you want.

3. Our team will review your measurement and order details and provide you with a quote and/or advice on breed-specific alternatives.

4. Your order will be processed as soon as you submit payment to the invoice our team has sent you via our secure checkout.

5. You will receive shipping confirmation as soon as your order is packaged and ready to ship.

*We keep all measurements on file. Returning Made to Measure customers are not required to purchase a kit.

For international customers:
Visit our Made to Measure page to begin the process. You won’t need to buy a Made to Measure kit - we just ask that you use a soft tape measure when measuring your dog.

What is your Recoat Program?

The ReCoat program is a trade-in program for Voyagers K9 Apparel products. Our durable products are built to last and often have a life cycle that extends beyond the needs of just one dog.

While our mission is to keep pups warm and protected, we also have a serious commitment to sustainability. It’s far better to give our coats new life by protecting another pup than to have our coats go to landfills.

ReCoat is also a way for consumers to obtain Voyagers products in a budget-friendlier way than purchasing brand new.
